Players and employees alike seemed they weren’t having much fun.

It may have been the time of day I went.noonish on a weekday, but the General mood in the place was very depressed. If they had live table games they’d likely get some more customers. Whatever the reason, it’s doing them a huge disservice. I don’t know why Zia park doesn’t have these.there may be rules prohibiting them. The other tribal casinos I’ve been to in Ruidoso/Albuquerque do have various table games and are much more fun. No live table games.just the odd blackjack bank with recorded “dealer” on a screen. The casino floor is very cluttered feeling and extremely smoky.and I smoke! They had a good mix of machines, and had several of the more popular branded slots (buffalo, Charlie and the chocolate factory, etc), and while my one short visit isn’t a good statistical polling, they seemed to be incredibly tight. That said, even if I lived in Hobbs, I’d probably never go. As a frequent Vegas visitor, I thought the ability to earn comps in Vegas while at your local casino was pretty cool. On first entry, I realized that their loyalty program (marquee) was the same as Tropicana’s in Las Vegas.

That killed time would have been better spent practically anywhere else. Had some business to take care of in Hobbs and thought I’d kill some time by checking out this casino.
